Crate Training

Oscar's being crate trained . Next step is housebreaking . Has his second round of shots & is looking to be a playful pet for a special home .  Oscar's littermates were all Blue Merles . That's a lot to compete against ! We're not worried . We'll enjoy his company until someone else falls in love with him .

Halloween Photo No# 1313 !

All summer visitors stopped by to view puppies , only to leave sad that Waldo was not for sale . Then I began to think about it , maybe I am being selfish keeping Waldo . Waldo deserves a good home & I have his brother George for the kennel . So I offered Waldo for sale ( not free ) to a special caring home .  Everyone wanted Waldo , untill I mentioned what a quality 2 year old Blue Merle Cardigan was worth .  Somehow people think Cardigans are free once their ears go up ! I'll keep Waldo . He's a good boy & happy . Met a lot of nice people this year buying puppies . Special dogs need special people .

Spider-Dog !

Another scientific experiment that went horribly wrong ! Halloween brings out the worse in some people . Making a poor pet wear a costume is unnatural , leaving the pet confused on gender , species , or behavior . Sounds like most of the people I know ! Only difference the humans dress up willingly .

 Today the sink hole looks like this . Filled in but you can see the ring around the hole .

After today there might be one , my little Blace & White boy . Two people are coming today to take home the Blue Merles . Next litters not until Spring , if George doesn't climb over the fence again !

Coy-dogs Spotted in New England !

Photo of a pack of wild coy-dogs terrorizing woods in New England .  Farmers hard hit by this pair , report missing gloves , empty lunch bags , & mysterious toy piles . People , mostly leaf peepers , have been tripped up . Children complain " coy-dogs ate their homework " & have wet chewed shoe laces .  Fear grips the New England countryside , making the shutdown even worse !

Siamese Cardigan ?

Neighbor's dog finds a Siamese Cardigan , part woman & part Cardigan !  This one's called
" Samaize " ! Doctors don't think they can be separated as they share vital organs ( heart & brain ) , bed ,  & feed dish !

 Shadi passed away at 16 . Shadi was an AKC champion & my first Cardigan .

Eli was put to sleep yesterday at 13 . He now rests besides his mom . Eli was both US & Canadian champion .

Don't know if Jelly Bean is wearing a Halloween costume or he's not eating enough & his bones are showing ! Unless you're a professional , no not attempt to dress your pets up . It's embarassing for the owner & cruel for the pet ! There should be laws against holiday dressing up pets & humans over 12 !

Breakin' Up So Hard To Do !

Letting Belle in with weaning pups once a day . Pups eating well but miss mom ! Allowing pups to drain mom once a day , prevents dangerous milk build up . Cutting back Belle's food & limiting her time with pups , also decreases her milk supply . Plan is to gradually decrease mom & pup's dependence on each other .

Bye Bye Blue Boy !

The only Blue Merle boy in this litter was selected today . In a few weeks he will join his new family with goats , chickens , & dogs on a small farm .

 The only Black & White in Belle's litter will be 6 weeks old Saturday .
