Kate left me alone in the kitchen ! All I was going to do it put together a meatloaf . Then I saw the maple flavored bacon .  Two Butternut Squash from my garden were on standby to share the oven , why not now ? Can't bake the squash without stuffing ! There was some room for potatoes . Now top off the meatloaf & squash with bacon ! Of course each event has McSecret touches ; onion soup mix , chilli sauce , brown sugar , maple syrup , homemade bread crumbs , & more . Help me , I'm out of control !

Eli went out this cold morning & quickly did his business . He was glad to return to a heated house !

Six Below !

That's temperature not wind chill this morning . Only out a few minutes to run dogs , but had to wear two sets of gloves . One pair of jersey gloves & my fingers were hurting instantly ! Wild chill bought it down to 16 below . In a few minutes the water buckets started turning slushy on top . Only had to call the dogs once to bring them in !

Setting up indoor growing station . Have over head shop lights for light & rope lights for bottom heat . February is time to start onions . Mid March to start eggplant , peppers , & tomatoes . Will start some squash , mellons , & cucs first of May .

False Alarm !

Had Judy examined at vet today for puppy count . Vet agreed Judy looked like she might have a small litter but it was a false alarm , no puppies . This was to be Judy's last litter , so she will be retired . We have a couple of girls that might be seeking Cardigan Romance in a month or two . Never try to out guess Mother Nature .
