Seven puppies whelped in time for Leap Year . Mom & pups head for vet today . Natural whelp at home . 5 males , 2 females . One female a Blue Merle with bold tan points . Pups nursing well but have a nervous spell till on solid food .

Due date is Feb 29 but Mother Nature has final call . Heddi had a litter on Easter & now maybe Leap Year Day ? We have every other holiday covered , why not Leap Year too ?

This will be the first litter Big Ears Kennel had on Leap Year Day ! We had every other holiday but first on Feb 29 ! Now to see if the vet or Mother Nature is right ! Might be 7 pups ?
