Sleeping In The Whelping Room !

Past few nights I've been sleeping with my head 3 feet away from Sally . . . it's like we're married ! Over the years I learned it's good policy to be attached to expecting Cardigans , a few days before due date & a few days after . Both whelping & nursing present challenges !

      Yes . Tomorrow we're scheduled to see the vet & go over options . I'm leaning towards C-section rather than try a natural birth & gather a team for an emergency C-section at 2am on a weekend .

    Good luck, Bruce. 10 puppies...when the dog has a section and starts nursing immediately...is it painful? I hope not.

      If I had a C-section , there would be no way a gang of hungry mouths & paws would struggle around an incision that runs almost stem to stern . Somehow Mother Nature is more forgiving .
