Bruce McDowell: Escaped from the Brooklyn Projects at an early age . Learned to speak English outside the home . Chose a lifetime of education over a life in crime ( not sure right move ? ). Going from an art background to Agriculture , lead to a Export Certification Specialist position with USDA . Now retired to gardening & raise Cardigan Welsh Corgis .
