Breakfast for Fiona ! Not unusual for a pregnant Cardigan to develop picky taste as final weeks approach but Fiona over did it ! Four times a day I place a wide selection before the princess . One day , she'll eat cooked rabbit meat . The next not ! Took her two weeks to eat in the Whelping Room , rather than her crate !

Duck , Here Comes Duke !

On his morning walk past the Saratoga Park , trouble is afoot ! About 2 dozen park ducks are in the middle of busy Broadway ! Duke springs into action . Pure instinct ! He leads his momma on a dead run to save the ducks from being Duck Soup ! Out into traffic , Duke drags his momma on his extension leash . Duke darts left , right , drops & stares . Momma follows ! Soon an exhausted Duke & momma have the ducks in a safe place & city workers take over . Gather a stranger video taped the event ! Keep in mind , neither Cardigan or momma are trained ! Pure instinct !

Forever Homes !

Every once in a while , we have older dogs we place in Forever Homes . These old friends , are not like our eight week old puppies . Over the years we have become attached & they are family .  As stewards of this unusual breed , we are fussy about puppy inquiries but double down on placing our older friends . It's important they find Forever Homes , where they can develop a one-on- one bond with one human ( they share me here ! ) . Only people we know & trust will meet our trust for one of these old friends .

Wylie did what Cardigans do , set off the Bark Alarm late at night . Seems there was a lost dog at the front door . Because Wylie is terrible with phones , his owner read the tag & called the dog's owner . Thanks to this teamwork , lost dog was reunited with family ! Sleep well , somewhere there's a Cardigan on Neighborhood Watch !
