It's like " Rawhide " every day here ! " Keep them Dogies rolling ! " . We roll the dogs out 6 times a day , in groups of 2 . That works out well until the girls come into heat ! Then everyone wants to fight . . . 2 weeks before . . . 3 weeks during . . . & 2 weeks after . Of course this riotous stage is drawn out , as each girl draws the other into season . Adding to the fun , the girls come into season twice a year ! It's not easy being me ! " Keep them Dogies rolling ! " .

Big Ears Kennel doesn't have a waiting list . We do not promise puppies we don't have . One fellow , who bought 2 puppies from us , was 250 on a non-refundable waiting list . It would be 5 years before he saw a puppy ! Our puppies are placed with the best of approved homes , not a number on a list . As always , current owners of our pups from previous litters , would have first choice . Within a 350 mile radius , there are about 60 million people , with only a few Cardigan breeders . Over 20 years ago it took me 2 years to locate a Cardigan breeder that would sell me a retired Cardigan ! Shadi never saw me before & hated me from first sight ! 3 weeks later we were best buddies . I know what it is to wait for a Cardigan . Believe there are less Cardigan breeders & more people today . Shadi lived with me till she was 16 .

Started tomato , eggplant , & peppers indoors in March . Too early . Next year will start in April . Spring seems to come later every year . Had snow cover yesterday !

Don't know which took the most out of me ! The vaccines were a breeze , but the haircut , was put off for a year ! Homebound because I heard a college football team caught the virus from their barber & decided to hide until I got vaccinated ! I amazed the barber by standing up , after being sheared ! Remember there are nerve endings in each hair ! Yet I'm from strong Cardigan stock & was able to walk off !

Making sauce in the crockpot . Four girls finishing up on their heat cycles . The boys are letting loose with heart sick howls , of Cardigan Love lost ! House smells like a Pizza Hut with howls dogs , or as Dracula would say " Children of the night ! " .
Jane & Copper headed to the vet today , in search of True Love ! If things go well , we should have puppies by June 6 .
