Sad News At Big Ears !
Fiona , just gave birth to a litter , had to be put down . Vet did a series of expensive tests that suggested expensive options . Favorite suspect was , X-rays showed she swallowed a neckless ? Seems she had a toxic reaction to the metal ? Hit fast . Luckily found a vet tech , who's dog will whelp in a couple days , to wet nurse our puppies !
This is why I don't promise pups before I'm sure they're stable & healthy . These puppies will be evaluated in a few weeks . Scary how life changes . Fiona was a good dog , as sick as she was !

Glenville 5 !
Up 2 nights on puppy watch . This morning at 6am puppies begin to come ! About 1pm last pup arrived . Trouble with Sunday pups , regular vets are closed ! Kate & I did best we could . Next few weeks will tell how well mom , pups , & humans survive ! Still on puppy watch for 2 days , as nursing takes hold !

Fiona ; Give Me Five !
Took Fiona to vet for puppy count today . Vet says five , for sure , with one hiding possible ! Leggs , a Black & White boy with tan points , whelped on May 19 ( my birthday ) , was the sire of this pending litter . Pups should be Black & White , with a few with tan points . Litter due Feb 28 but may go a few days earlier .

Cardigan In Waiting !
Fiona became restless in the Whelping Room , so she's camped out in the TV / front room , with us !
We've Moved !
No longer in the Whelping Room . Rocky & his sister are on the porch ; daytime a pen to play , run , & eat : night starting crate training . Fiona has been moved into the Whelping Room , as February 28 might be her whelping date . So out of four pups , only one { Rocky's sister ) is available . Keep in mind we only posted on blog , we didn't advertise !

Blue Boy Finds A Home !
Had to wait for their visit , until the snowplows cleared Connecticut roads ! Guess the wait was worth it , as the hugs were handed out ! This will be a remembered Ground Hog Day 2/2/22 !
