Beefsteak tomatoes starting to ripen ! Cold Spring held planting till first week June . Wettest July in history , meant leaf growth , not so much fruit . Now fighting mice & slugs for tomatoes , means picking & ripen on window sill . 

Next 2 weeks should mean tomatoes for neighbors , Connecticut sister , & night raiding nephew !
