Memorial Weekend !

Quick story my dad told me . He served with Patton in WW2 . It was 6 against a 1000 ! Day after day , they were attacked . Day & night . Ran out of food , water ,& ammo . Only thing that saved them , they were held up in a cave . Finally they made a plan , if one man could attack the leader , maybe the others could run for help . My dad looked around at the men , too weak to fight . All they had was a pointed stick . My dad grabbed the stick & ran out to save the others . To this day my dad would say "  They were the toughest 6 we ever fought ! " .

At 3 weeks these guys are fed so well by mom , not too interested in soft food . Doing well , so scheduling 5 week visits with approved homes .

Journey's Final Race !

Yesterday Kate took her beloved Greyhound , Journey , for his last walk . He was a quiet boy , unless the fire truck roared by , then he would yodel his gentle heart out ! Kate eased his race track scars & tried to control his seizures . Mother Nature decided it was time to end his tough journey . The vet agreed . It was time . Like so many good dogs , he will be missed .

Christmas came early for Harry . He was whelped on Christmas Day . Now he'll spend next Christmas with Solo . He was fine , until I tried to take his photo . Typical Cardigan !
