Most are with puppies , yet most have no tails but Cardigan colors ( blue merle & faded hues ? ) . Thinking " Designer " dogs ( mutts ) ! Trouble with these designer dogs , cowboy corgis , or mutts they will not breed true Pembroke or Cardigan . Buyer be ware ! Breed crossing was banned by AKC in 1931 .
I've run into several dogs this year whose owner's call them Pembroke or Cardigan Corgis and it clear to me that they are designer muts. They don't look right and they behave differently. I question the owners where they got them and some are rescues, but some tell me from a breeder.
