April 1 , Chuck was neutered & recovered well . He hated the cone of shame but because he didn't lick at his wounds , I made a bold decision . . . no collar while watching him daytime but at night , the cone of shame went on ! Five days of this & 7 days of medication , Chuck bounced back !
Inquiries for his placement in a new forever home have renewed ! It's harder to place older dogs ( Chuck's about 2 1/2 ) . He's DM tested clear , up on all vaccines ( has medical chart ) , crate trained & ready for house , working on leash training , & all Cardigan !
First question I ask " Can you offer a better forever home for Chuck than me ? " . Usually our older dogs go to families that bought pups from us , building friendship & trust . First rule : No free dog goes to the vet ! Chuck will go for $500 ( part of his vet bill ) to new approved people . Let the inquires continue !
I wish I could take Chuck, but with our recent move down south and all, the timing just isn't right. Someone's gonna get a great dog and Chuck's gonna get a great new home, and that is what really matters.
ReplyDeleteHe is a very handsome guy and if he's anything like his mom Seven, he will be energetic, have strong herding instinct, and will be so much fun. If nothing else, he can pal around with your girls. I'm sure they love him already.
